Outrageous

Just because you have the right to be outraged by something (poor dining experience, bad customer service, being inconvenienced) doesn't mean you always have to respond with outrage. Just because people would understand if you lost your shit, doesn't mean you have to do that. You can choose grace a lot of the time, and watch how everyone in the interaction relaxes, including you. 

Figure out the difference between standing up for yourself assertively and just being a bitch simply because the situation would allow for it. 

This is something I've learned only in the past couple of years. It can be a foreign concept if you grew up in a rough place and had to constantly show people you weren't to be messed with. Maybe no one has told you until now, but it's ok to dial it back. It's ok to NOT say the snarky thing. It's ok to let the moment pass without you returning fire, to choose class. It's ok.
